Stayed at Chalet Cullen and had a delightful experience. The chalet had beautiful windows that offered stunning sea views, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The bed was extremely comfortable with high-quality sheets, ensuring a restful sleep. The chalet was well-decorated and had all the necessary amenities for a short stay. Margaret, the host, was lovely and made us feel welcome. The electric frypan was a great addition since there was no hob, and we were even invited to use the barbecue. The location was convenient, close to Mangawhai town and heads, and the view of the estuary and sand dunes from the lounge was a joy to wake up to. a fantastic place to stay when exploring Waipu and Whangarei, with scenic coastal roads.

Our well-appointed and spotless room had views over sea. The stuff was helpful and affable, the bathroom was good. The hotel had a central location back to the hills. Also, the venue was at a short distance from Wood Street Freehouse.

The view from our chalet was absolutely stunning! We had a panoramic view of the beach and dunes on one side, and mountains and hills on the other - it was like a postcard come to life. The location was also perfect, with easy access to the beach, shops, and galleries. We loved how comfortable the chalet was, and the birdsong in the mornings was a lovely touch.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we felt that a few extra touches could have made it even better. It would have been nice to have some herbal teas and fruit provided, as a little extra welcome gesture.
